What I thought ...

As I read, "The Hot Zone" by Richard Preston, I may say this is one of the interesting books I've ever read, although in the end it gave me the sense of fear. Not only does Richard Preston utilize sensory imagery in "The Hot Zone", but also uses symbolism to explain the complex scientific terms that appear throughout his novel and that's what I liked. However, aside from this novel being a true story, The Hot Zone is surely a scary thought. Not only, these viruses are deadly and noncurable, but they're just something that I dont want to have nor go through. I'll rather just die from a gunshot or something rather than getting all the terrifying symptoms there are such as high fever, body ache, muscle pain, fatigue, hallucinations, blod clots and etc. So over all, The Hot Zone is an extremely well written book that leaves the reader uneasy in the stomach, fearing trips to Africa, but yet still wanting more!
